Big smiles and brand-new bikes!
Pupils from Christie Park and St Mary’s Primary were the final young riders to collect their bikes from Lomond Riders Cycling Club, marking the end of an incredible journey through the Rock Up & Ride project!
Since September, 50 pupils from Balloch, St Kessogs, Levenvale, Christie Park, and St Mary’s have taken part in 18 fun-filled cycling sessions thanks to a partnership between Lomond Riders, West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust, Scottish Cycling, and funding from Transport Scotland.
Each child received their very own bike, helmet, lock, and even a spot on the National Cycling Database — all theirs to keep!
Coach Morty Church shared:"It’s been amazing watching the kids grow in confidence, learn to ride safely, and most importantly - have fun outdoors with their friends. We’re so proud of them all!"Here’s to a summer of adventure, fresh air, and lots of cycling fun!
