Vale of Leven FC
Firstly, Vale of Leven Football & Athletic Club was celebrating their "150th year based in the valley" in 2022 and congratulations to them for making their club one of the oldest in Scotland, never mind West Dunbartonshire.
The present club was formed in 1939 and is known by a few names, including "The Vale" and "Vale of Leven". The main colours they play in are dark blue jerseys, white shorts, and red socks.
The Vale of Leven Football & Athletic Club is one of those unique places in Alexandria that has been around "forever" and is at the heart of our community. Play their football in the West of Scotland league, which is in the pyramid system for Scottish football.

From M8 Motorway: - A898 to the Erskine Bridge. - Cross Erskine Bridge. - A898 junction with A82: Branch left (signposted Crianlarich) to join A82. - A82 juncton with A814 (east): At roundabout take 2nd exit. - A82 junction with A814 (west): At traffic signals, take the right-hand fork. - A82 Bellsmyre roundabout: take 2nd exit (signposted Balloch). - A82 junction with A813: At roundabout take 3rd exit (signposted Bonhill). - Bonhill Bridge Traffic Lights: Turn left over the bridge across River Leven at traffic signals. - At give way at the roundabout, bear left immediately before the railway bridge into Leven Street. - Ground is situated at the far end of the road.
