First Bus Response About The Scheduled Changes To Bus Service Number 1 Proposed For March 2025

I can confirm that the changes we’re making to our network across the Vale of Leven are designed to improve the reliability of services for our customers and the communities we serve across West Dunbartonshire.
While I appreciate that the provision of a direct route is more desirable than a change of bus to complete a trip, we’ve reconfigured the network in a way that will build in more resilience in the face of challenges with roadworks and congestion while delivering better reliability and service performance. For example, the introduction of services 204/205 will mean that they will not be impacted by congestion and delays in Glasgow in the way that the current Service 1 route configuration does and vice versa.
I hope that this information and context helps to clarify our efforts to provide improved reliability across West Dunbartonshire.
