Awards Ceremony at the Vale of Leven Academy
More than 400 pupils were recognised in the annual Awards Ceremony at the Vale of Leven Academy
Pupils were recognised for a range of curricular and extra-curricular successes with awards for effort and perseverance in class and award given for bronze, silver and gold awards given for attendance.
The school’s wind band performed at the start of the ceremony and the audience was also treated to a senior student dance performance that had been choreographed by a Higher Dance pupil. Work from the Art Department was on display and the audience applauded their peers as they made their way onto the stage to receive special recognition for achievements throughout the session.
Head Teacher Matthew Boyle said “We are delighted to celebrate the wide range of skills and behaviours that we see every day in our school. Perfect attendance, hard work, kindness and working to improve our community for everyone were are all highlighted and recognised. We are very proud of our students and this was a fantastic way for us to show it”.
