** SMOLLETT FOUNTAIN WORKS: UPDATE **
Alexandria CC have contacted West Dunbartonshire Council who have forwarded to the contractors to give a formal progress update and date of completion.
There has been some information in the community but we want to get it accurate. Of course there is understanding of the progressed length of time of the works and the sensitivity of the site's historic nature.
What can be confirmed is that the lamps and fencing will not be returning to the site (for road safety reasons) and 2 lamps each have been donated by WDC Regeneration to the Vale of Leven Trust and Central Alexandria Tenants & Residents Association - CATRA. Information that has already been confirmed previously.
Any formal update of the works will be provided as soon as we can get it.
