ALEXANDRIA CC NOTICE BOARD
Alexandria Community Council would like to give thanks to everyone who has helped our community group become the information hub that we intended.
Thanks to Alexandria Traders Association, Vale of Leven Trust, Central Alexandria Tenants & Residents Association and Tullichewan Tenants & Residents Association.
Special thanks to West Dunbartonshire Council (including Communities Team) as well as Alan Hubner of Aehweb.co.uk (Alexandria Town website)[External Link}.
This list is not exhaustive and highlights some of the hard work many organisations participate in helping to improve the town of Alexandria as much as possible despite the issues beyond at least our control. Every Community Council meeting with many of these organisations represented discusses on what CAN be done.
As well as being an information hub, the group also looks to celebrate Alexandria – the past and the present. Links to Vale of Leven History has been very beneficial and provides links with such rich local history. We appreciate the hard work that goes into this.
Alexandria and the surrounding areas have many writers, musicians and artists who have shared their work on here which we look to continue to do.
Alexandria CC and our working partners look forward to a bright future in the town and will not rest until the “poor cousin” tag is a fading memory.
