60th Anniversary of Christie Park Primary School
A special concert was held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Christie Park Primary School in Alexandria.
Proud pupils took to the stage and wowed the audience by singing and dancing to uplifting songs from the last six decades.
In between performances, pupils acted out scenes portraying a family with multiple generations all taught at the school, mirroring the many current pupils whose parents and grandparents also attended Christie Park.
Following the concert, families were invited to visit the gym hall where photographs, logbooks and school registers from the former school, Alexandria North School, dating back to the 1800s were on display. Head Teacher, Margaret MacLeod, said: “It is a real privilege to be head teacher during this very special year for the school.
Christie Park Primary School has a long and proud history in Alexandria of serving local families for generations and the children are a real credit to the school. I would like to thank the staff and whole school community for their continued support and commitment and all our parents and carers for their kind feedback following our two wonderful concerts.”
