Dumbarton District Woman's Aid at Vale of Leven Academy
Lovely to have Dumbarton District Woman's Aid in during lunchtimes yesterday to speak to our pupils. Their stall was very busy indeed. Our visitors commented on how friendly and well mannered our young people were.
Dumbarton District Women’s Aid (DDWA) came to visit to highlight the 16 Days of Activism, which is a campaign against Gender-Based Violence. It runs from 25th November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 10th December, Human Rights Day. They chatted to the pupils about the campaign and the work they do locally.
