Vale of Leven Academy Represented at Remembrance Day Service on Sunday 12th November

Some members of the Senior Pupil Leadership Team represented the school at the Remembrance Day Service on Sunday 12th November at the cenotaph in Christie Park.
Jaya Khasria, Freya Fox and Grace Crockett accompanied by Mr Halkett laid a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of the school. Also in attendance was the Vale of Leven Academy Brass Ensemble supported by their instructor Mr Cowieson. Mr Cowieson played Last Post before silence to remember the war dead. The ensemble –Kai Ross-Stewart, Ava Gollan, Tess McNicholas, Cobie Downs, Isabella Teer and Bethan Price played beautifully the hymn Abide with Me with the assembled crowd singing along. They then closed the ceremony with the National Anthem.
We are very proud of our young people for representing the school so well.
