Spring Clean Alexandria: 13th - 27th of March
CATRA are asking everyone to join in their "Spring Clean Alexandria" which is running from the 13th of March until the 27th of March. This includes the 20th of March, the "Spring Equinox", marking the end of winter and the start of spring; traditionally, this was the time to put animals out to summer pasture and clean away the winter cobwebs, wash the winter blankets and scrub the house from top to bottom.
We are taking this outdoors. Over these two weeks, the CATRA team will " clean" the town centre and front of the Community Centre. People are welcome to join us Monday to Friday from 9-12, meeting at 5 Alexander Street. Or if able to look around their own area and maybe do a mini litter pick or weed the pavement outside their house or premises. On Sunday the 23rd, there will be an organised litter pick.
