At our last meeting residents raised concerns about the future of this centre due to some recent changes in the building.
Alexandria CC enquired about this and this is the response from WDC Citizen, Culture and Facilities: "Thank you for your email and the opportunity to clarify.
The children and families social work service will be taking up space within the craft room on the ground floor of the centre.
The leisure trust continues to accommodate requested bookings from the community and there are still a number of rooms available for public booking including the large main hall, former café area and side hall.
One group which currently uses the craft room had raised a concern around their meetings going forward and they have been relocated to another room in the centre which they have viewed and are content will meet their needs.
I hope the above provides reassurance for residents however should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch."
Alexandria CC will add this item to agenda for next meeting in October.
